Racehorse Deaths
Am finally saving a link to this article back in March about the epidemic of racehorses breaking down and being killed. This is due to the overuse of pain medications given to horses to hide their injuries. This eventually results in the horses' legs literally breaking during races.

Think Again About That Nice iPhone
Two reports by the NY Times on Apple manufacturing jobs going to China and the poor working conditions of the Chinese workers:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/26/business/ieconomy-apples-ipad-and-the-human-costs-for-workers-in-china.html
This probably applies for other electronics manufacturing companies, but it may be worse in regards to Apple products.
